The next few crochet designs I will dedicate to the beautiful Clematis flowers. No other climber can match their popularity. I will start the celebration with Clematis Alpina.
There are two basic types out there: the Species group, which have smaller flowers and bloom in spring and the Hybrids, which can be quite large and showier, blooming between May and October.
Clematis Alpina belongs to the Species group. The flowering vine bears blue, pink or purple 1-3 inch flowers on long stalks.
